Do the locals really happy with the Kalpitiya tourisam project ?
Due to the massive tourisam development project implimented for Kalpitiya ,the locals are in a fear of loosing their lands.People over here use to lead a very simple lifestyle which is bonded with the sea.whenever the sea washed their huts away,they used to simply move futher inland and started their day today lifestyle . At that time there were no barriers to use the land and they used it as they wish.But now the senario is changed.The land has taken over for a goverment tourisam project and fence erected and gates locked for them.
